Gibberish…read on

I have been blogging for like three months now. Like everything good or bad, this too has helped me learn a few things. The most important one being: As long as dictionary.com exists, no one will ever be short of words. Thanks to them, my vocabulary has been fascinating (by my sky rocketing standards, i.e.).

I wanna say, it has helped me improve my language and my writing skills, but who am I kidding. Thanks to the creator of Blogs, someone like me gets an opportunity to jabber about topics like infrastructure and public transport. Not that I had so much to say and never had the chance to, it still is fun to hear that someone wants to know what I have to say.

And guys let me tell you, if you are seeking information on any topic on the Internet, a product for example, I wouldn’t advise you to look up the company’s site, a better place would be to read blogs related to it. They always have a personal touch. No marketing jargons. So, it is always more reliable, and in most cases, well written.

The best way to help your blog get more viewers (lets face it, you write for people to read) is to use keywords in your blog. It is one of the reasons why I fit in words like Stanford, IIM, CAT and terms like “Rome was not built in a day” at the first chance I get. But having said that, the actual search engine keywords which has helped people get to my site were: “cat catches ceiling fan” (you kidding me??), “my kid loves staring at ceiling fans”(well, someone needs a therapist badly) “I want to know the answers of AIEEE 2006” (He actually searched for this on google and clicked on the link leading to mine) to state a few.

Before I end this post, let me make a plea to everybody reading this: Even if you have nothing at all to say, please do comment. No matter how many people visit, its these comments that keep people like us ticking.

  5. hey maan! good to see you. Yup comments is what keeps us ticking. WordPress is simply awesome, it lets us see the search terms which got into our blog, the sites which refered us and tjhe top posts, feed stats all at one place… unlike blogger, where you need third party services to keep track of your visitors.

Even I get a bunch of such search terms… it freaks me out…
