Reservations for MINORITY??? What kinda crappy government comes up with such a thing? What amazes me is the percentage of reservation. Almost fifty percent. . It ain’t rocket science, not to understand that, the minority of the country reserving the majority of the seats is completely illogical. I knew Laloo Prasad Yadav has taken politics to new lows with his governance, which sometimes makes Sidhu look intelligent, but I didn’t expect an educated female, imported from Italy, with modern outlook (or so I thought) to take such a detrimental step.
And you know what amazes me even more. At one end, we have the members of the Parliament (LOSERS in short) jabbering about abolishing caste system and on the other, we have Caste based reservation. Am I over reacting or have our leaders decided never to make sense again?
There are so many things they can actually do, if what they are looking for, is to improve the standard of living of these, so called minority. They can actually take measures to provide primary education to all. A way to do that would be to try and get the government schools back from complete ineffectiveness. I know, its easier said than done, but still, it is logical, to say the least.
What will a person who gets a seat into an IIM just because he “Reserved” his seat in advance do? He’s a complete misfit, or to say, a square peg in a round hole. Still he won’t feel out of place. You know why, because there’s 50% reservation, half the class will be out of place. The harsh reality: Not only do the better deserved candidates not get seats but also the overall quality of the premier institutes of technology/management will be pulled right down, courtesy of the RESERVED. Maybe, its about time that I asked for reservation, for being mallu. (state wise minority) With BJP completely out of power in Kerala, maybe, once they come to power at the centre, my demands would be accepted.
Remember, you can wake up a person who’s sleeping but it is impossible to wake up someone who’s acting like he’s asleep. Our government functions in a similar fashion. So, to all mallus around the country, wait for a couple of years, we’ll make our claim to be royally RESERVED.

and @ this rate, the only place where reservation will not come is sports. Apart frm cricket most of the sports r being represented by minorities(they form only >70% of population). probably V can claim a quota in the sports field

Well The thought is a bit deeper……
I have no offence for the writer or anythin(gotta say that) but things are more twisted.
I completely agree that the caste reservation sucks
upto a degree. My views are that it should be merged with economically weak SC’s.
You see it is easy to be against the reservation but u gotta know the facts.
People holding banners SC ya Brahmin Ek hai…. and some other SH** but if u go to the real dirty india u get the india of the equality.I MYSELF have Faced this inequality.i have seen me and my fellows being EXPLOITED by high caste poeple.ONLY ONE SC KNOWS WHAT HE HAS TO SUFFER FOR HIS ACTION OF BIRTH IN HIS CASTE.
WE DONT NEED RESERVATION BUT ON SOME PONTS.CAN U STOP PEOPLE USING OUR REFERENCE WHEN INSULTING SOMEONE. CAN YOU REMOVE THE CASTE LIST IN SCHOOLS AND OFFICES.CAN YOU STOP TEACHING CASTE SYSTEM IN OUR SST BOOKS.CAN YOU LET LOW CASTE PEOPLE ENTRE THE GATES OF (SOME) TEMPLES IN SOUTH INDIA.YOU HELP US GAIN OUR STATUS BACK AND WE OURSELF WILL SHOW THE MIDDLE FINGER TO RESERVATION.
BUT OFFCORSE U CANT DO THAT CAN U
I consider myself very lucky that my dad managed to give me good edu but i still have my cousins hungry for just a pair of entrance books.
YOu should consider yourself lucky that u have parents which on one comand give your fees ,make you join NARAYANA or AAKASH or some other institute.this isnt the case for the rest i shall say “economically low caste”.
For Centuries High Caste has Ruled on the low ones so the high ones have to pay its consequences some day……
One more Fact i wanted to point out is that there has been a large addition to the low caste list of obc.so many of the people are themself in the quota category without there knowledge.
AND on the F****** thing that these obc docs and engg will not be qualified and trained then my freind just tell me one little thing “Wont they give thier SEMESTER EXAMS.”.reservation just means to cut those entrance trouble cause not all can afford even correspondance course its not that we will provide cheating slips to the obc student in the exam hall..
SO IN THE END I WOULD SAY TO KEEP YOUR AGONY FOR THE SYSTEM TO YOURSELF AND REQUEST TO MERGE CASTE AND ECONOMIC FACTORS IN THE BILL AND YES OFFCOURSE TO LESS THE PERCENTAGE TOO i myself thing 50 is a bit too much I WRITE THIS NOT TO HURT ANYONE BUT TO TELL U SOME MOST BASIC FACTS OF OUR LIFE

@anudeep,
very true.Economic status must also be taken into consideration. But I don’t understand why they are so bent upon reserving seats in the PG courses while turning a blind eye on the quality of primary education. The reason behind it??? Votebank politics.

Glad u replied.Well Primary education many people can afford but the basic hurdle is the Competitive exams. As i told they cant even buy correspondance courses.
